Tahoma 31® Bermuda

Fine textured and beautiful, Tahoma 31® Bermudagrass is well suited for use on golf courses, sports fields, and lawns. It is noticeably the softest turf you will ever put your barefoot on. It topped the charts in handling 63% shade compared to other improved varieties. It has proven to use 50% less water than standard varieties. It is best kept mowed 1 1/2″ or less, standard rotary mowers are fine but it can be reel mowed down to 120 which is putting green height.

After the installation of Tahoma 31®, it is important to water three times a day for two weeks.

Any full-size half-ton short-bed pickup and larger is capable of hauling a single full pallet of sod.

Description

Tahoma 31® Bermudagrass is known for both its improved cold-hardiness and improved drought resistance. And for good reason. Tahoma 31® was bred from two cold-hardy, drought-resistant plants found in some of the most extreme landscapes on the planet. The Mother Plant was collected on a hike in the mountains on the east side of the Himalayas in China, a region known to be very cold and arid. The Father Plant, a fine-textured grass, was collected a world away in South Africa, also known for its cold, dry climate.

    Put a pallet of this down in a renovated area of the back yard. Great grass. Survived the 20/21 Arctic Winter. Feels great on bare feet. Much greener than the other grass in the yard. Going to renovate more areas once it becomes available.

    Sod by Sherry is the place to get your grass. I picked out the Tehoma 31. Beautiful fine blade grass. The grass is very dense . When it was cut you can tell the cutter had sharp blade because every inch of grass had a lot of dirt on the roots. Very friendly people. The roads are all good to the beautiful farm . Will not go anywhere else.
