    Turf Action Big Rolls are 42 inches wide and 114 feet long, which require open areas and few obstacles for installation. Big Rolls can be ordered in C-U-3 Sport Bermuda or Common Bermuda depending on availability. Common Bermuda is mainly used for erosion contol jobs. Because machinery is involved in the entire installation process, the labor costs are reduced. This reduction is reflected in the ultimate price to the customer.  The bulk nature of Big Rolls allows for a cheaper price for instant grass, given the right situation.  In smaller, more detailed work that requires a perfect finished look, Sod by Sherry small rolls may be a better choice.

   Turf Action Big Rolls can be ordered with erosion control netting on each roll to to hold the dirt slope in place while the grass becomes established. Once the grass is installed, the resistant netting ensures zero slope movement before the grass actually grows in. Even when the grass is dormant it can still serve as an erosion barrier, and keep the slope in place.

  Turf Action offers two options for Big Roll turf services:

    We deliver the Big Rolls to your job site and you install the grass.  Special machinery is required for the installation of Big Rolls.

    We come to your job site, provided the ground has been final graded, and install the Big Rolls at your discretion.  With this service, we arrive with your fresh cut order of turf, install it and post roll it with a 1,200 lb. roller to insure a level finished yard.  Power rolling also ensures good root to soil contact to eliminate air pockets which may damage the grass. We usually need a weeks notice for this service, depending on the time of year.
